An Even LONGER Overdue Update

I'm not sure how long it has been, a year, possibly two, but I'm back, and raring to go! I've started reading a military fiction novel called 'War With Russia' I won't go into too much detail but it's written by a former British general, and although fictional, it is very much a possibility, as the introduction says.

I'm painting up an insurgent from Empress to go with a short piece of fiction, as I'm trying to bring this fictional countries struggles to life without the humour added to such things as African Imagi-Nations.

See you all soon,
Cheers,
Sean.

An Overdue Update

Hi all, it's been a year since I rebooted this blog!

I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things after a bout of bad mental health problems. Updates might be slow at first but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things very very soon.

News: Border Clash

"Bastonian Security Forces have clashed with Bacravian Seperatists on the border between the two regions."

"The firefight lasted several hours as Seperatists remained in their position without major opposition. It is believed that a key member of the Seperatist group was wounded, presumed KIA. Mustafah Alabak, 35, was struck by shrapnel caused by a grenade."

"Several members of the security forces were injured but, luckily, none of them were serious."

Inspiration: Bastonian Security Forces

In the above picture, I was very interested in the blue/brown camoflauge of the fella on the left. I believe he is some form of Serb? Going by the flag on his arm it looks like a Serbian flag.

Update: Miniatures

Hello all, I've been through a lot this past month or so and haven't really been doing much regarding my blogs.

I have, however, decided to do this project mostly in 15mm as opposed to the 20mm I had planned. This is due to space. I will also be buying the odd thing in 28mm too.

Until next time,
Cheers,
Sean.

News: BSF Make Arrest

'Today, members of the Bastonian Security Forces arrested a man suspected of making bombs for the Civilian Militia, Seperatists, and other registered terror groups.'

'The man, who has been named as Michael O'Brien, is an Irish ex-pat who moved here sometime in the early 1990s. He is reported to have made the IED that hospitalised the President and killed his bodyguard.'

'Reports have said that, if they can't find evidence of his actions within the next 24 hours they will have to let him go.'

Factions: Bastonian Security Force

The Bastonian Security Forces (BSF) were founded, in their modern form, in 1982. It was created from a merger of the border guard and the gendermarie (despite the BSF being, essentially, a gendermarie).

They act as a paramilitary within the borders of Bastonia and the contested area of Bacravia, where the residents are extremely hostile. There are currently 500 individuals within this elite force, 100 to each region of the country.

The BSF bolster the numbers of the everyday police force, who are unarmed, due to an increase in Militia and Seperatist activity. They have seen most of their combat in the capital city of Saint Michael's, against Militia forces.

As far as equipment goes, they have 5 active BTR-80s. Their small arms consist of AK47s and P9RC handguns, made in Hungary, one of Bastonia's neighbouring countries. Members of the BSF are noticeable for their blue urban camoflauge uniforms, with matching Castro caps.
